| Info: Perennial grass to 8 feet tall, usually less. It is an excellent erosion control plant with deeply rooted stems in clumps. Vetiver is mainly cultivated for the fragrant essential oil distilled from its aromatic roots. It is contained in 90% of all western perfumes. Vetiver is closely related to other fragrant grasses such as Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon citratus), citronella (Cymbopogon nardus, C. winterianus), and Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii). Vetiver oil has medicinal properties. Though it originates in India, vetiver is widely cultivated in the tropical regions of the world. |
Our bamboo sizes range from 5 to 200 gallons and are suitable for Houston Texas area landscapes.
We carry clumping non-invasive varieties (with the exception of a few very collectable runners). For bamboo collectors, we stock rare and hard to find bamboo.
Supplies may be limited. Call or email for price and availability.
